Tooltip
Compose Enterprise is going through a design update. The illustrations on this page might be of the old design, but the information is up to date. Thank you for your patience during this update!
A tooltip can guide a user to fill out a form correctly. The tooltip will not be visible at all times in a form, and only when the cursor hovers over the element with an added tooltip, the tooltip will appear. The tooltip can therefore be used to give respondent users additional guidance while filling in the form. Since this information is only visible when hovering over the element, this should only be used for additional information. This is how you create a tooltip.
Create or open an existing form. To select the question where you want to add the tooltip, click the question in the canvas. Then click the Help/style tab in the Properties panel to access the tooltip properties.
Select Yes for Display Tooltip to display the Tooltip input field. Enter a desired tooltip text in this field.
Especially for larger tooltip texts, you can click the pen icon to the right of the Tooltip field to open a larger input area. Click Done to save your input.
Remember to save the draft and create a version to make the form with the new changes available to use in a workflow. The tooltip in the respondent view should look similar to the image at the beginning of this user guide (depending on the skin layout, of course).
