Compose is a business process designer that enables you to build forms and process workflows of professional quality. It gives you the opportunity to create data sources, data exchange with external services, authentication configurations etc. Compose helps you organize your system elements and with a sophisticated versioning system, you are able to compare data from different versions of the same form.

The following gives a short presentation of the main sections and navigation in Compose.

Navigation and structure of Compose

Compose is organized to make it easy to navigate and use menus and functions. All the sections in Compose have the same menu structure, and it is therefore useful to know how they are organized.

Left menu

At all times you will see a left menu on the left side of the screen. This menu includes all the areas where you can build and edit Compose elements, in addition to the Organizer where you can view all your available folders and items. When an item is open in one of the builders, you will find a number count next to the builder icon in the left menu.

Top menu

In the Compose Organizer you will find the top menu. The top menu displays the available functions you may use to create, edit, upload or download items. Selection of a workspace or folder enables the creation of new elements, while selection of elements enable element actions.

Builder menu

Builders are entered by double-clicking an element in the Organizer. Builders with more than one main section will have a builder menu next to the left menu. Most common sections in builders are Settings, Builder, Data Model, Input Variable, Script and Language. By navigating between these sections, you may add and edit elements and properties you wish to include in the item currently opened.

Element properties menu

In the builders you may add elements and edit the element properties. The element properties menu will appear, say in the Form Builder, on the right side of the screen when the element is selected. In other builders, you simply edit properties directly, or double click the elements to edit element properties.
