Merge BankID Signatures
Compose Enterprise is going through a design update. The illustrations on this page might be of the old design, but the information is up to date. Thank you for your patience during this update!
Some services may require multiple people signing the same document, and Compose provides you with the option to have multiple BankID signing activities in the same workflow. The Signed Data Objects (SDO) generated from multiple signing activities can be merged into one SDO file. This enables you to provide all parties with one SDO which includes all signatures.
This user guide will mainly deal with the configuration of a BankID Signature Merge activity, so it is highly suggested that you have a ready workflow with the BankID Signing activities configured. See the Signing, Pause point and Build a simple workflow user guides to understand the set-up of the example workflow. Shortly put, a second end-user enters the workflow in the pause point and provides the second signature.
To merge the two SDO files created by the BankID Signing activities, select the BankID Signature Merge activity in the canvas. Click the Add BankID Activity button in the properties panel.
All available BankID Signing activities in the workflow are listed. Select the first BankID Signing activity you’d like to merge and press OK.
To add more signatures, simply repeat the previous step.
The generated SDOs will now be merged when the workflow passes the activity. By default the SDO is named merged.sdo. If you prefer a different name, enter the name under File Name in the properties panel. (The file would still need to have the same format .sdo to be readable as an SDO).
When all other settings are done, save the draft and create a new version of your workflow.
It is possible to set up two BankID Signing activities consecutively only separated by a form. This would enable two end-users to sign the same document, but unless you use the Continue later functionality, they would have to be at the same place at the same time to sign. It is therefore a better approach to set up a Pause Point to allow the workflow to pause, and then letting the second end-user continue the workflow.
The example requires Compose version 7.1.0 or newer (and BankID certificate): Merge BankID signing.cng
