Continue later
Compose Enterprise is going through a design update. The illustrations on this page might be of the old design, but the information is up to date. Thank you for your patience during this update!
Compose provides respondent users with the choice to continue the workflow later. This will allow users to take a break while filling out a long or complex form, or find additional information they don't have at hand when starting the workflow.
As a workflow designer it is your choice to add the Continue later functionality to your workflow. Please navigate to the Workflow Builder, and the Builder section to set up the workflow.
In this example we will use a simple workflow with a Start Point, Form Activity and an End Point.
Configure the Form and End Point properties. If you need more information on how to set up these elements, please see the documentation.
When the other elements in the workflow have been configured, select the Start Point in the Canvas. The Start Point Properties will be opened on the right hand side.
In the Properties panel under Front Page select User can continue later. Compose automatically selects the choice to Encrypt paused session data. If you do not wish the saved session data to be encrypted, you will have to change this in the properties panel in the Settings section of your process.
Continue Later results in a pause- and a Continue Later-button in the service. When the end user picks either, a Continue Later window provides the end user with a reference number and the possibility to send the number to an email address. The user may then open the service at a later time, enter their reference number and continue the form where they left off.
Save draft and create a version of the workflow. To start the workflow, navigate to the Organizer, select the workflow and click Open info to start the workflow and open the workflow link.
Example workflow: Continue later. To be able to use the example workflow you need Compose version 7.0.0. or newer.
